Victorian Pier Mirror
(inventory # CC-226)
Originally a built in feature in a Victorian era home, this
10 foot tall beveled glass pier mirror still creates quite a statement.
The mirror mounts in two parts. There are original hangers to attach
the mirror to the wall, then the crown board pegs into the top and can
also be fastened with screws. The deep relief carving on the 14"
tall crown is beautifully done. Note the quarter round molding and
full round bead trim that surround the frame. The mirror has been
installed from the front on a full paneled back that is part of the structure
of this piece. It has not been re-silvered and there is some ghosting
and deterioration of the silver starting but currently it is in acceptable
condition. All solid quartersawn oak.
