Early Saber Leg Chairs with Rose Crest

This is a set of six side chairs all having a turned spindle back with a crotch grain mahogany panel topped by a carved rose crest.  The chair has a traditional saber leg with a serpentine front rail supporting the fabric drop in seat.  The seats are new from the frame up and include a thick cushion covered with an undercoat fabric and top covered with traditional Wedgewood Blue and Gold material (easy to change if you prefer a different cover).  These chairs are from an era of hand made furniture and date to the 1830's to 1850's.  Currently they are structurally sound and ready for your dining room.
