Reminiscent of Mary Gregory's art using a monotone white decoration delicately applied against a colored glass background, this vase is no exception.  The large 10 1/2" Tall vase is formed from an unusual caramel colored satin glass/ etched glass.  The ground bottom with the pontiff mark is also signed with the number 10- perhaps the individual artist's signature.  Time has worked on a few areas of this piece, notably along the top rim and on one leaf- where some of the white has worn away.  A blemish in the original glass is also evident on the inside of the neck.  However, the size and delicacy of the painting is too nice to dismiss this piece.
