A very Impressive Oak Server (One is still available)
(inventory # EE-15)
This is the kind of quality you see from furniture designers and manufacturers of the 1890's around New York.  The celluloid labels in the drawer of each piece indicate these pieces were "Designed and Made by the Hayden Co.  525 5th Ave.  NYC"  They are exquisite in their details.  Brass ring pulls are probably original to this set.  Carved crests on the splash boards, carved details and accents on the drawer and frame all complete a very rich look.  No apologies to these pieces.
Some research on the Hayden Furniture Company reveals that the company actually began in Rochester NY in 1846.  During the late 1800's the New York City location was opened.  The quality and integrity of their pieces was well known and seemed to rely on European Artisans that were used in the design and manufacture.  The company went out of business in the 1950's after it had given up it's manufacturing division.
