Original brass oil lamp was electrified in the past  using two adjustable angle sockets that swivel easily to target the light where you want it.  The old brass lamp, from the font on down to the base is original to the early piano lamp.  The height is no longer adjustable but the original interior sleeve is still intact.  The castings and all the metal are solid brass!    The onyx table top is green and cream colored and in very good condition and polished up well.  It is banded by a scalloped brass edging.  The brass has a nice mellow tarnish.  This piece has been re-wired and we added a large reproduction silk shade with riser.  The shade is available for purchase separately.   This is a very heavy lamp.
