Early Cast Iron Garden Set (inventory # FF-3) There are some nice pieces of cast iron garden furniture on the market, but rarely have we seen as nice a set as this. the extra tall back chairs have some amazing details cast into them including a Northwind face at the bottom. When we began the restoration process of this set, we determined that they were well worth the trouble to have sand-blasted down to bare metal and primed and painted with rust inhibiting paint so they would last another century. There was a casting signature on the chairs that read "OGF". Most cast iron was done in foundry's along major shipping points- especially harbors along the east coast. The shear weight of this set is a prime example of why it was most expedient to not ship over great distances. There were no breaks or cracks in any of the castings. It is in perfect condition and has multiple coats of cream white paint on them. Size ................ Table:
26" Tall x 22.5" Round
