Nice Oak Double Door Bookcase
(inventory # FF-73)

This double door bookcase has an interesting decorative touch to the rail above the doors.  The rolled board ends by revealing a carved scroll and leaf design at each end.  This is capped by a simply molded top board just above it that is actually dovetailed into the slab sides of the case.  The double glass doors have old glass in them.  The left side door has a sliding latch at the bottom to hold this side closed so that the locking door works against it.  Key included.  The base has a pair of rolled faced drawers that face slightly up at an angle.  The cast brass ring pulls on these drawers and the brass escutcheons are all original to the piece.  Inside, there are three adjustable shelves for your books or collections.  The back plywood has been replaced out of necessity.  Lots of quartersawn oak used on the face of the bookcase.  No veneers.
