Joe "Perfection" McGehee * Our newest artisan, started working with us the summer of 2008.  Joe began his refinishing career when he was 16 and needed gas money for his car.  He learned from the ground up by doing the removal, sanding and finishing for another antique dealer.  When he came to Up the Creek he was already an accomplished finisher but the part that separates him from our competition is his drive for perfection.  With no formal training, he has relied on having a good eye for color matching and a consistently good finished product that  looks like the original.  At Up the Creek we are constantly challenging him with some of our projects and he rises to the challenge "perfectly".
