This is one of the finest bookcases we have ever seen.  It has the height to command it's presence in any room and the details that abound to keep you impressed beyond first glances.  The side doors are serpentine glass with shelves to match the curve.  They are topped by the same profile in a curio cabinet with the original fretwork in an arched pattern.  The center section has a bowed glass door below and an open alcove above that is flanked by delicately turned columns.  Each of the curios and the alcove have beveled glass mirrors in the rear wall.  The top treatment is centered around the raised center with the carved crest, ribbed moldings and the carved garlands.  On each side of this is a curved crest with more carvings showing delicate floral details.  The corners have the 45 degree angle and are finished with an elaborate fluted column and acanthus leaf carved capital.  Key included. Finish is an older restoration in grand condition.
