Matching Walnut Dresser and Hotel Commode (inventory # SP-1) Grandly crowned walnut bedroom pieces from the 1880's to 1890's. The projected crowns feature a corbeled central crest surrounded by applied carvings and deep moldings and lead you back several layers until you get to the beveled glass mirrors on both the extra wide dresser base and the hotel commode base. Kentucky brown or liver marble is original and in very good condition. Original brass pulls are placed on the walnut burled panels on the drawer faces. The washstand is actually one of the rare "Hotel Commode" styles that features the matching mirror to the dresser. Center drawer of the dresser has a key. Size ................ Dresser:
